15 Reasons Why You Need To Start A Blog Today.

Internet has totally changed since Blogs started in the early nineties. Despite a slow and rocky start, Blogging has taken the world by storm in the last decade. With millions of blogs being created every day, we can say for sure that its future is stronger than ever. Since web publishing and content management is easy with blogging platforms like WordPress and Blogger, creating a blog or a website has never been easier.

No matter who you are and where you are from, if you are motivated and have access to the internet you can start a blog. For those of you who don’t already have a blog, I wanted to write this list post to motivate you to start one today. 1. It is free to start a blog. Since it is free why not give it a go. Right? Just visit WordPress or Blogger and sign up. But, If you are thinking of having a serious online presence and want to create your own brand, I recommend getting your own domain name and paid hosting instead of using free hosting provided by blogging platforms.
2. Blogging is easy. Well, it is if you are motivated and can create fresh contents. There is no need to know any programming language like HTML, CSS, PHP…etc to start a blog. Knowledge about these programming languages does help but is not necessary when you are starting out. Anybody can publish web contents with the click of the PUBLISH button using blogging platforms.
3. To write about your passion, interests and hobbies. If you like writing about your hobbies, interests and passion then start a blog today. Many popular blogs started as a medium to share the writer’s passion. Blogging on the topic you are passionate about is fun and is the first step into successful blogging.
4. To share your opinion and thoughts with your own unique personality and create a community. Blogging is the best way to express your views the way you like it and be heard by millions.
5. Blog to promote yourself, your business, products and services. This is the cheapest way to advertise your business and services you offer. With blogs you can easily let people know who you are and what you are good at.
6. Blog to communicate and stay connected. Many individuals blog to share photos, videos or personal stories. Companies have blogs to keep up to date with the latest news for the employees.
7. Blog to learn and be creative. Since blogging requires frequent posting of contents, you need to do a lot of research on the topics you choose. This means you will learn tons of new things everyday. And it also helps bring out your creative side.
8. Start a blog for new opportunities. Blogging gives you a very big window of opportunities. There are hundreds of people that have landed great jobs because of their blog.
9. To make a difference in your life. If you want to be a successful blogger you need to be motivated and dedicated as well as disciplined. Blogging raises awareness in your life which can totally change your life around and as a result good things will happen to you.
10. To help people. I am a firm believer in doing things to help others. One of the reasons I started this blog is to help people have a successful online endeavor.
11. Blog to be an expert and start your own business. Regularly publishing great contents on the topic of your choice establishes you as an expert. And it also creates a foundation for you to launch your own books and products.
12. Blog to get traffic to your site. Blogs attract traffic because of fresh contents and search engine optimization. With features like categories, titles, tags, description, internal linking, trackbacks and comments, blogs will bring hordes of free traffic to your site.
13. Blog to make money. There are many ways you can make money from your blog. Selling products, books and affiliate marketing are some of the popular ways of making money from your blog. However, making decent money from a blog is not easy. You need traffic to make money and generating traffic can be hard work for months or even years.
14. Blog to be a reporter. You can start a blog to report about the latest news and views with your own unique flavor and twists.
15. Blog for miscellaneous reasons. You can blog to keep a journal or just to practice your writing. Or simply because you want to be famous and get a lot of recongnition.
