Show Your Love: Be A Fan Of Endeavor Online.

facebook

I have been a Facebook junkie ever since I started using it about a year ago. At first, I just used it to banter about my personal idée fixe. But after starting this blog, I am regularly taking its advantage by promoting the articles I write.

Using the same social account to share both about your personal stuffs and your brand might distort the boundary between business and personal life. However, if done proportionately this could be real valuable for your overall promotion.

In order to reap maximum benefits while promoting my brand using this social platform, I also went ahead and created my own Facebook fan page. Then, I saw some the blogging buddies I follow; namely  Murray, Thu, Lye, paste a Facebook like box in their blog. To go with the trend, I am going to slap a Facebook like box here at Endeavor Online as well.

Many of you may think that a like box is not that significant. Or even worse, asking your audience to be your fan is going to affect their perception of your brand.

I say Hell no, Like box is an awesome idea!

The importance of having social proof like number of Facebook fans or twitter followers is immense for building up your brand. Who knows? It might even land you a chance to befriend a new blogger or a new business prospect?

You know people might say, who the f*ck are you? Or don’t even bother liking you. But that is okay. You can’t please everybody.

The number of people that follow you, become your friend and your fan largely depend on the quality of contents you create in your blog and the networking communities you form. Hey, I wouldn’t want to be a fan of someone who doesn’t impress me either (O:

But if you have a wonderful community like I do, the benefits of having a like box is huge. It helps to passively build up your brand due to the domino effect – the more people start liking you, the more are going to follow!

I already know that it is going to take time to build up my fanbase. It is going to be a slow and arduous process. Hence, I have also decided to send invitations to targeted people to become my fan. Let’s see how that fares out!

So, are you ready to be a fan of this site?

Show some love and be a fan! Click the like button in the Facebook like box, on the right side bar. I really appreciate your support.

And lastly, I want your ideas on how to promote this facebook like box to spread it virally and get more fans?

Do you have a like box in your site yet? Do you think it carries any value in expanding your brand’s presence?

Please leave comments down below to share your thoughts. Also, don’t forget to Tweet it, share it in Facebook or your favorite social media outlets.

Thank you!

Before you go...

    Hi Adam,

Congrats on your new FB group buddy!

I do have a fan page and widget on my blog. Since starting RBs Keys group about 3 months ago my brand has grows. Having your own Fan Page builds credibility. It expands your social presence too. Each Like goes a long way!

As for promotion I say keep doing what you’re doing. This post was a great idea, for starters. Don’t hesitate to spread the word about the Fan page on your personal FB account.

Network on Facebook, visit other blogs and build strong relationships with people in your niche. As your presence expands your club will grow by leaps and bounds.

Thanks for sharing and have a powerful day!

    I’m on it :)

Seems like a lot of FB interactivity generally comes with some kind of incentive or prize thingies but for the most part it can be a nice little way to essentially build a list and who can beat a 1 click like :P

I guess we do have a lot in common huh!

Yes, juggling between full time work, quality time with family, helping out at the house and blogging is not always easy. But you know what Lye, that is what makes it so special! That is what motivates me..

Thanks Lye. I appreciate you being a fan!

    Hi Adam

No problem with pressing the like button. I love coming over and reading your posts :-)

I am more a fan of Twitter but with all the amazing blogging friends I now have who are also friending me on Facebook; I know I have to get into Facebook too.

Will know where to come to ask about it. I have seen these boxes on lots of the blogs I visit and if it is one I visit regularly and interact with the blog owner, no problems with pressing that button.

      Pat,

I really appreciate you being a fan of this site.

Besides comments, FB likes and twitter counters are great yet a very simple way to show some social proof.

Hey, if you need any help to set up a like box for your site don’t hesitate to ask. It takes less than a minute to set up. I will be glad to help.

      Later.

I didn’t know I WASN’T a fan of your site already until I saw the box. So it certainly doesn’t hurt.

Creating a real “fan page” and building it up is one of the things on my rapidly expanding “to do” list. Having a simple widget like that one seems like a really good way to passively build a base.

Hello Adam, I don’t use Facebook for the business and I stopped using it for the personal use as well. It just took me too much time so I decided to give up on the Facebook and focus on something else.

When it comes to Like box on the blog, I think it is ok, but since I am not a big fan of Facebook (don’t hate me for that!:) I do not have it installed on my blog. However I got Facebook like button in my social media sharing widget.

I wish you good luck with your Facebook presence, definitely this could be a valuable source of traffic if you know how to engage Facebook people.

Yeah! I really know what you mean Adam. It is real easy to get carried away with these social platforms, Facebook in particular.

It could be a good source of traffic however as it is one of the most popular social media outlets. But like you said Adam, all depends on how you promote your brand on it.

And I sure don’t hate you for not being a big fan of Facebook (O:

    Really appreciate your comments dude.
    Later on!

Putting a Facebook like box in your personal blog is a great idea. Using both Twitter and Facebook together I’m sure you will have plenty of fanbase in no time. Best of luck!

    I certainly am now a fan :D
Like boxes are awesome, especially because i like to be updated on new posts through facebook rather than rss – so its a win win situation :P

Hi Adam, I didn’t know you had a Facebook page until I saw the box here. :) I have something similar on my newsletter website, as my Facebook group is for Global Asset Strategist. Maybe I should have a Live Richly page too.

A Facebook group does help drive traffic to my blog I’ve noticed in the Analytics. (I post Live Richly stuff to my GAS Facebook page too). Usually it’s the biggest driver, as I also post Live Richly stuff to my personal Facebook.

It’s not well appreciated, but a business/blog Facebook page is awesome for SEO. It can be the first hit for your business name on Google.
