Why I Decided Not To Quit Blogging?

i_m_back

Just yesterday as I was browsing through this blog, I felt really guilty of not posting for quite some time. I had to postpone blogging for a while because of all the incidences and circumstances happening in my personal life. Being subjected to a lot of negativity in this period, it was really hard for me to stay positive and continue on the plans for my online endeavors. However, I think it is about time I gathered myself and moved on.

Now when I think about it, I could have handled some of the situations a lot differently; a lot more positively. But it is what it is. Don’t get me wrong here. I am going to man up and say I should have been able to prevent a lot of things from happening. But anyway the bottom line is I love blogging so much that I decided to jump back into the bandwagon again.

For a while I did think about stopping blogging period. Well shit happens to the best of us. All the negativity was generating a domino effect in my life and it seemed to me that nothing was going right. I am not writing this for any sympathetic reasons. I just figured I needed to put my feelings in words in order to stay positive.

It all started to unfold pretty soon after grandma passed away. Everything from my personal life, health and finances started going downhill. I got separated from my wife. I was broke. Financial reasons, family tensions, not being able to be constantly around my daughter and a whole bunch of other things, one after another, resulted into me hitting the rock bottom. As the saying goes – it never rains, but it pours – I also stared losing the vision in my left eye. Come to find out I have a cataract. The doctor said because of all the stress I have been going through the cataract has started to get bigger. I need to get it surgically removed as soon as possible. But, despite all the negativity, I am stronger and more spiritual now than ever before.

Frankly, when I was at it, I had the feeling of some kind of achievement from this blog. And this is exactly what I was thinking yesterday that led me to sit down and write this post. I mean I couldn’t let all the time and effort I had put into this blog, so far, go down the drain. I believe what has been published in this blog carries a lot of value to my readers. Besides, I know there are a lot of you out there who would kill to own a blog like this.

I want to genuinely thank all my readers, subscribers, blogging friends, non-blogging friends and family members for writing emails, tweets, messages and comments wanting to know what was going on. I really appreciate the love from you guys and hope I continue to receive it in the coming days. The love you have shown has helped me revaluate and reflect back on why I started this blog in the first place. And I know you all have given me the will to re-gather and reinvent my better self.

After the eye surgery, I also have plans on going back to college and graduate. Juggling between work, blogging and school is not going to be easy. It is going to take unparalleled time and effort. But this is something that needs to be done in order to better my life. Upgrading and adding on to my knowledge base is also going to help me make better future decisions in life.

Life is unpredictable: We may come across roadblocks, hit rock bottom or our interest may change gradually as time rolls on. Nonetheless, we don’t always get a second chance. After not blogging for a while it felt like I let a lot of people down. I feel like I even let myself down. No I can’t let this happen. I am back from the hiatus.

Welcome back Adam! I’m so sorry to hear of all your recent troubles. I thought you might have just taken the loss of your grandmother really hard.

It seems like you’ve had plenty on your plate lately but everyone gets knocked down every once in awhile. The important thing is that you are back on top and with a new lease on life. You have so many people who care about you so I hope you feel that you are never alone.

Sounds like you’ll be even busier then ever now. I wish you the best of luck with all of that!

    Glad you’re back!

Keep recipe at hand – Never know when you’ll need to whip out a batch: One lemon, some water, some sugar. If you can get some ice or refrigeration that makes it better yet. Life seems to keep a whole orchard of lemon trees that seem to stay ripe all the time. Since we as humans can’t seem to avoid getting these lemons, we have to do the best we can with them.
    Lemonade rules!

    Hi Adam

Welcom back, I have not been to your blog for a long time, because i am disappointed many times by seeing your old post. Really hurting that you faced many problems at a same time. But do not worry, about it. Every human’s will have to face tough time in their life time. Be strong, have hope on god, you ll be fine soon. Definitely, i ll put my prayers to god for you.

If you having any problem with your wife, jus talk to her. All the problems can be solved by talking frankly each other. Do not spoil your daughter life by leaving your wife. Nothing can change us, if we have hope on our-self and god.

Also you have mentioned that you have to go for eye surgery, dont make more delay. Just do it, its good for your health. Also you said that you gonna attend college for graduation, tats sounds good. Do concentrate on your studies. Best time yet to come. So work hard.

    My Warm Hugs… Good luck.
